Tan Malaka inggih punika silih tunggil Pahlawan Kemerdekaan Nasional sané embas saking Nagari Pandam Gadang, Suliki, Gunuang Omeh, Sumatra Barat, Hindia Belanda, pinanggal 2 Juni 1897, seda ring Selopanggung, Kediri, Jawa Timur. Ida pejuang militan miwah radikal sané gelah peran ageng ring babad perjuangan kemerdekaan Indonésia. Ida nelahang uripnyané ring Hindia Belanda miwah terancam olih penguasa Belanda sareng Inggris. Nenten padem semangatnyané memperjuangkan kemerdekaan. Duang dasa warsa satonden Indonésia merdeka, ida ngorahin negeri merdeka ring suratannyane, "Naar de Republiek Indonésia", utawi nuju Républik Indonésia [1925] miwah duang warsa salanturnyané ngproklamirayang Partai Républik Indonésia [PARI].
